Selecting Your First Wig: A Beginner's Guide


Choosing your first wig doesn't have to be a daunting task. At Wig Outlets, we'll provide you with all the information you need to make a comfortable decision. By following these steps, you'll be on your way to finding the perfect new you:
STEP 1: Measure Your Head to Determine Your Cap Size

If you have long hair, put your hair in a ponytail. Grab a tape measure. Place the tape measure around your head, lining it up with your hairline. Place it behind your ear and on the nape of your neck. Then find your measurement on the following chart:

Please note that this chart is to be used as a guide only; cap sizes vary by brand. Adjustable caps can be adjusted up to 1" for a secure fit. Wig Outlets may not have all of the above sizes in stock.

STEP 2: Choose Your Style

STEP 3: Select your color

Choosing the best color for you can be the hardest decision when buying a wig. The most important thing to remember is that the color you choose should blend with your natural color, not necessarily be an exact match. We are happy to talk you though this step of the process.
